Doesn't seem possible, but we are heading out again to serve our Father in Heaven. We arrived home on the 25th of June 2013, from the El Salvador San Salvador Temple Mission. We served for two years and were excited to return to be with our family again. Everyone made it except Kyleigh, Mason, Riley, Aydan and Dillon. We did miss visiting with them but really enjoyed our visit with the rest of our family.
Two days after we arrived home, we received an e-mail from President William Burk of the Guatemala City Temple asking if we would consider coming to Guatemala to serve with him in that temple. We were thrilled to be asked to return to Central America and began the process of filling out our paperwork once again. This time we had a few more doctor visits and tests to complete (I guess we are getting older and the mission office wants to make sure we are healthy). We submitted our papers on the 29th of August and on the 29th of September (exactly one month) we received our call. We skyped the kids that were away and had Tracy and Sarah with us at my Mom's house and opened our call. Lon thought it would have been funny to have received a call to Siberia and see me crying in front of all the family, but the Lord knows me so well that we did receive a call to serve with President Burk in the Guatemala City Temple. We will travel to Salt Lake City on the 14th of December 2013 and on the 16th begin three days of training in the Salt Lake City Temple. We will fly to Guatemala on the 19th of December 2013 to begin our service for the next 18 months. It took 5 1/2 months from beginning our papers to landing in Guatemala, pretty fast, yet some days it sounds like a very long time. We are so excited to have the opportunity to serve again, especially in a Temple with our Spanish brothers and sisters.
